San Jon Ranch calves are
weaned and shipped in the Fall. They are marketed using Superior Livestock Services, available to viewers on RFDTV.
The average number of replacement heifers kept are between 100 to 120. The remaining are weighed and shipped with
the steers. The last few years San Jon Ranch heifers have brought a premium over the steers. This year the
steers weighed in at an average of 695 lbs and the heifers 636 lbs.
